Pitching
This course is highly acclaimed, and a significant number of
those who have received certificates are now successful producers,
receiving commissions from South African broadcasters.
The course runs for three
consecutive days. It is designed to s specific outcomes
standard, is assessed and a certificate of competency is issued.
People credited with this standard will be able to:
Analyse a request for proposals
Develop a concept
Analyse audience benefits.
Define a target psychographic audience.
Define a target demographic audience.
Define and evaluate the target audience.
Write a project treatment with target audience.
Submit a proposal
In South
Africa where there is no capital available for small businesses to
start up in the entertainment and media, first time entrepreneurs
and small businesses have to rely on the commissions that come from
broadcasters. The experiences of broadcasters (and for that matter,
the
private, NGO and government sectors) is that first time
entrepreneurs and business in the early stages of development, do
not have the fundamental skills required to develop projects and
present them in a way that is appropriate to the request for the
proposals.
In any
business, there are two basic steps:
Look for
a gap in the market, and then look for a market in that gap.
Tie up
your distribution first.
This standard
conforms to both these rules. At the same time, it interrogates the
emotional needs of audiences within the framework of the media in
South Africa.

is not standards-based, is not assessed and therefore no certificate
can be issued.
This is designed for the professional who knows where she or he

or media you are staying in, and what career path you intend to follow,
then this is for you.

meet their needs, and the needs of their organisations.
For this reason, this course is usually adapted to the systems,
software and needs of the person or organisation.
These courses are conducted by arrangement, and can be tailored
to meet your organisations specific needs.
We offer a variety of courses, seminars, workshops and interventions
in this area..
Some organisations need managers upgraded, others need future managers
identified and mentored.
Still others might need to upgrade all the people within their enterprise.
We offer a variety of tried and tested courses, some directed to
existing Unit Standards, but in most cases, specific Enterprise Standards
are written.
Courses can take place during days, in evenings or over extended
periods of time.
